Indecision - or not

Has anybody noticed my list of Races at the bottom of my blog?  I'm pretty proud of that list, as it was absolutely blank a year ago.  I was hoping to add my first 10k to the list this Sunday; I registered for the Jingle All The Way 10k in DC.  Start time is 7:30am this Sunday morning.  However, the hourly forecast for Sunday looks like this:

While the temperature will be warmer than it has been all week, it sure looks wet.  I would be foolish to hope for another weather miracle like what happened for the LSL Triathlon.  **SIGH**  Just take another look at that forecast.  That is a lot of rain.  Undoubtedly the pavement will be drenched and there will be puddles to run through.  I will be wet, if not SOAKED.  This doesn't sound like a lot of fun....

WAIT A SECOND!

I have run in rain before.  I mean, I did live in the Seattle area for a good solid 6-7 years.  And what about THIS?!  Yeah, I know I can do it; I have done it before.  Just not in a race environment.  But the race environment should make it more fun, right?  Plus, this is CHRISTMAS THEMED!  Those who know me even just a little bit know that I absolutely LOVE Christmas!  I have my outfit all planned out.  And when I pick up my race packet tomorrow, I will also get jingle bells to tie on to my shoes.  How fun is that?

OK.  Just the act of writing out this post has convinced me that I'm gonna do it.

TAKE THAT, RAIN!
